I know that folks on my f-list have seen all this for the most part, but I'll cut anyway. I have questions/ponderences about Doctor Who and Torchwood. I'm partway into Season (Series) 2 of Doctor Who, but I couldn't make myself wait so I also watched the first episode of Torchwood last night (early this morning).
1) First an observation rather than a question. I do miss Nine, but I can tell that I'm going to enjoy Ten as well. I like that he's different, but you can still see the character thread in there.
2) Um...I think someone mentioned that we don't, but do we know how Captain Jack got to Cardiff from Sattelite errr...I don't remember the number?
3) Another observation. I've noted that any character with the moniker of "Captain Jack" is required to be sexually omniverous. *Please see POTC for further citations. ::Does NOT have a yen for a pervy x-over::
4) Okay, here's a Britishism question. "Ginger". What does that mean when it's used as an adjective to describe a person? Does it mean red-head or something else?
5) Errr....::is avoiding actually asking for Fic recs because that would mean I'm totally sucked in::
6) A question that I've had for a long time. How does the whole channel system work for the UK? I know there's BBC1, BBC2, etc...but does each channel have a particular type of content? Are the stations government owned, or are they corporate owned like here in the States?
I have more super-meta questions, but I'll leave it at this for the moment.
