I don't even *care* what the context for these pics was.  There is no *way* a slew of porny fics won't come out of that.  *cough*

I shall be iconning these later.

There's a photography exhibit either going on or starting soon in the L.A. area.  There was a banner up for it that had a list of about a dozen photographers who will be showing there.

The name that caught my eye???  Kirk McCoy.  *hee*  So glad I don't actually know the guy.  I'd never be able to look at him or talk to him without giggling.

Someone posted a flowchart of how to figure out which Star Trek movie you're watching.  It's pretty hysterical.

So with my abundance of ST fanning at the moment I've been hunting down comms left and right.  One of the funniest ones is [livejournal.com profile] ontd_startrek .  It's the ST version of the mothership and pretty damn hilarious a lot of the time.  LOTS of macros.  They have a GQMF (GQ Mother F#&$(#*) Macro for almost every ST character now and Will Wheaton actually ReTweeted his own on Twitter yesterday.

This though is one of the absolute BEST things that's been posted there.  It's the Abridged Star Trek Macro.  It's actually a shortened version of a longer one that someone else did which is linked on the post.  I want an icon with the last GIF.

So I was just thinking about the fact that this would be the first weekend since ST came out that I'm not going to see it...Then an ad for the movie came on TV and Chris Pine's voice yelling "DO IT! DO IT!" made me all squishy.

It's an EEEEVVVILLL conspiracy I tell ya.
webbgirl: (ST_Kirkhurt)
So I know there's probably a website out there somewhere that can tell me this, but I'm not sure where to start. Plus the flist knows all. :)

According to the canon timeline, how long is there between when ST:Enterprise takes place and when ST:TOS starts? Also, does anyone know of a good site that has the whole timeline of the various shows, tie-ins, etc...?

[personal profile] liviapenn did a picspam casting a genderswapped ST 09. OMG! Her choices are SO PERFECT!

I was going to specifically call out a couple, but I have to say that there isn't one of the choices where I didn't go, OMG!YES!

I've decided to be an adult, have a little patience and wait for Sims 3 to be delivered in about 3 weeks. I've pre-ordered. Blah blah responsibility, blah blah.

Now, on to other obsessions...

Star Trek 2009 )

And now, of to finish my BEYOND yummy sushi. OM NOM NOM!

I'm now pondering going to Universal City Walk tomorrow after I get my hair done and get girlified so that I can go see ST in IMAX.

Hi.  I'm [personal profile] webbgirl and I have a problem.

webbgirl: (ST_BonesCanfix)
So in the novelization apparently Bones' explanation is a bit more lengthy for getting Kirk on the Enterprise.

Ummm...I know we're always saying "the slash writes itself" but in this case?  It really, really does.

ETA: minorly spoilerish if you haven't seen the movie by the way.  Expect spoilers in the comments here or at the link.

webbgirl: (ST_Kirkhurt)
Seriously...tell me that there wasn't a mix-up at a hospital somewhere. Michael Weatherly and Chris Pine are *so* related. At minimum their tailors are.

So one of the downsides of a new shiny is having to cull icons from old fandoms to make room for the new. Such a hard choice.

Still, there's so much pretty with the ST stuff I can't help myself with the icons.
webbgirl: (ST_JamesKirk)
Fair warning now, I may be squeeing and rambling for awhile over the whole Star Trek thing. It's not like most of you haven't been through my new fandom squee before. *pets the shiny*
webbgirl: (ST_HeresScotty)
I'm totally not sitting waiting for Star Trek to start. Nope.

Pic Spam!

I'm just about to run out and do a couple of errands and KTLA starts showing "City on the Edge of Forever".  How is that fair?

I really need some ST icons.  Both old skool and new.

It is kind of fabulous watching Shatner after watching an episode of Boston Legal last night.

I've been a Marvel and X-Men girl since I was in Jr. High. I won't say exactly how long ago that was, but Jean Grey had only come back from the dead once at that point. :)

I do want to see the new Wolverine movie. I'm all kinds of excited about it. The problem is that I'm WAAAY more excited about going to see Star Trek. I'm not even really a Trekkie girl. Sure I watched TOS and the subsequent series, but it was never what I would have considered one of my fandoms.

I can't help it though. The movie just looks so DAMN COOL. I passed the premiere in Hollywood on the way home and I was wishing I was there with all the pointy-eared folk and squee'ers.

So, anyone in L.A. interested in going next weekend? My roommate has dropped hints about us going with a friend of hers, but I'd really rather go with someone who will actually ENJOY the movie.

So I've been watching the trailers for the new Star Trek movie because it's waaay too long until it actually comes out.

What I want to know is, who is going to write me fic where Kirk is really Tony DiNozzo's long lost decendant?  Am I the only one who thinks that these two look related??

OOO!!! Or an NCIS fic where the gang watches the movie and Tony gets a man crush on Kirk. :D
