So I still have a cold. I'm willing it to get better. I just went over to the Farmer's Market to get my Starbucks fix and got some Jambalaya. I figure the spices should help clear some stuff out of my sinuses and lungs. Please keep the illness in mind if this rambles.
I had to disappoint a lovely group of tourists while I was there. I'm wearing a polo shirt I bought in Wales that has the Welsh dragon and says Cyrmru above it. They were sure that I was from Wales and wanted to know where. I explained that I'd bought it while there and vacation and they wanted to know what I thought of every place I went in Cardiff and Bristol (one of the gentlemen, who incidentally made a pass at me, was from Bristol). I felt bad because they were so excited about running into another Welsh person. They were impressed they I understood their accents. I told them lots of BBC viewing. :)
Speaking of older gentlemen hitting on me...when my friend and I went to the Paley Center for the Fall Preview screening on Friday, I ended up sitting next to a gentleman named Kevin. He was a distinguished looking older gentleman in a seersucker suit and a straw hat. He started chatting me up when Linda had gone out to the restroom. He was more than a bit irritated when she came back and I started talking to her. I don't get it...I looked like crap from having a cold and sounded just as bad. Seriously though, any guys out there under sixty willing to chat??
My review for the first episode of NCIS:LA will be going up on Dear NCIS in the next couple of days, so I'll put a link here when it's up. I will say that the slash potential on the show is HUGE. And not just from the 'any two pretty guys', well 'any five pretty guys' in this case, perspective. There's a definite chemistry there with Sam and G. I may even have a plot bunny or five. Anyway, I thought I'd share my thoughts on the other shows though. These will be spoiler-y since none of these episodes has aired yet, so please don't click on the cut if you want to remain spoiler free for the first episode of any of the shows. However, I won't be detailing the plot points for the most part because I like for folks to be able to watch for themselves. If there are specific things you'd like to know about, let me know.
