NCIS:LA Search and Destroy

I'm still working on my write up for NCIS, but I had to babble a bit about NCIS:LA while it's in process.



Still loving this show. I know I say it every week, but G and Sam are sooo married. The scene with the two of them in the tattoo parlor talking about Sam's 'first'? Beyond AWESOME. Then there was the scene in the car with the origami not!Swan.

Hetty the fashion maven is just wonderful. Though she was sounding a bit Yoda-ish at the "Don't try, just do" line. Also? I REALLY want a fic with her and Tony clothes shopping.

We do learn that G at least partially grew up in LA.

Have I mentioned that I love this show? Especially Sam and G!

I do not understand how they were playing the scene in the tattoo parlor if they weren't playing it as flirtatious. I mean, really? I am boggled.

I totally thought Hetty turned into Yoda there for a minute. She may never leave that role in my head.

The tattoo shop was pure flirting. I mean if one of the guys had a set of breasts on him? All the ads for the show would be talking about when they're going to finally hook up.

Hetty kills me with all the roles she has.

The overall plots are crap, but there's so much flirting and banter and fun stuff I find that I don't care.

And may I say that Callen's eyes in the tactics room (where they discussed the case, it had an overall blue tinge to the lighting) looked AMAZING. Just GUH

I'm not sure I could even tell you the plots once the episodes are over most of the time. The characters absolutely make it.

At first is was just Sam and G for me, but I'm really loving all the characters now. I think Nate is the slowest in coming along, be even he has his moments.

I'm in the same place. The plots are forgettable, but I like the character dynamics.

Unlike NCIS: Original Flavor, where the plots are forgettable, but they've created a black hole in the character dynamics that's sucking in everything else. Or just sucking. Difficult to tell. ;)

I've been catching this show on On Demand on Time Warner. So far, 3 eps, and it's been fun to watch.

Hetty is a hoot. She runs the place, everyone answers to her, but she's like a den mother! I love it. :) Also, you know she really cares about this group and would keep secrets for them.

Sam and G. What can be said? They're just great! Whoever casted this bunch and had these two as the buddies? BRILLIANT!

I love that they're all afraid of Hetty, but they respect her.

Sam and G are beyond great. I know folks who've never even thought of slash who see the couple vibe with these two.

I finally watched a couple of episodes and yes, this show is awesome! The plots are okay - I'm watching for the utterly adorable cast. And waiting for G and Sam to start making out. They're so flirty!

In contrast, the original NCIS is too annoying for me to watch anymore. Tony is too much of a buffoon, and Ziva's characterization is all over the board. The last few eps have not held my interest at all.

Seems to be how most folks are watching NCIS:LA and I am sooo fine with that.

Old Skool NCIS is frustrating at the moment and I'm deciding whether to continue. I keep hoping that now that they've wrapped up the Ziva crap they'll go back to decent story-telling. Maybe not though.
