May 1st and other ramblings

So...the fandom_nomads are planning our little get together for May.  There will be drinking and frivolity involved for sure.  We already have plans for the Guiness and Fried Twinkies. We're working on the sound-proofed hotel rooms. 

So, I'm thinking since we're getting together on May 1st which is Beltaine, we should probably have some smut handy as well.  It's only appropriate given the holiday.  I'm pretty sure the Raddison and Sheraton would both frown on bonfires in their lobbies or suites.  Hmm...maybe I'll get some flowers as well.

I'm feeling the need to connect to spirituality in a big way lately.  I guess I'm just feeling run down by allowing others to dictate my moods, frustrations, etc...instead of me controlling them.

I have been attempting to work on fic, but I think that all the negativity that I'm allowing in is stifling that a bit.  It's also making me feel a little less than smart lately as well.  My brain feels like it's turned into oatmeal.  Not sure that's conducive to my job or life.
