Yep. I just talked to my mom in SD and she said she felt it too. It was centered in Orange County.

It's the California pay off for our good weather.

Here too! The earthquake site is saying it was a 5.8, two miles outside of Chino Hills. That's the biggest we've had in a while, I think.

Can't believe that it was felt quite so widespread. I'm waaay out in the Valley and we felt it pretty strong here even.

It lasted longer than most do.

Seeing this, I knew that you were okay, so my first thought was to go see if our seismographs picked it up. And they did! Well, one of them. The other two have lost their data streams. :-(

I'd totally geek out about that too and want to go check. I'm trying to find out if my brother and his family are good. They were a lot closer to the epicenter.

Er, belatedly, I hope everyone was okay! I mean, I've heard no casualties, but still.

I just heard, and was about to make a Paging Webbgirl post. Thankfully, you reported in first.

Some parts of San Diego are claiming to have felt it, but I missed it entirely. My co-worker said "Did you feel something?" and I replied "General misgivings, why?"

Please keep us posted. I hope there's been no damage at your homestead.

We're pretty far from the epicenter so not too much damage up this way. I'm trying to get a report in from my brother in Orange County which is a lot closer.

My mom works in the Sports Arena area down there and she said they felt it, but her husband didn't feel anything in Normal Heights. Weird.

I've seen aerial footage from the epicenter area - everything looks pretty normal. Reports of broken glass and things thrown off shelves, but nothing else. They're probably fine.
