It's raining, raining here right now. Not that I'm complaining. I consider it preparation for Seattle next week. *g*

Of the squee? BBC America is now airing Torchwood Season 2 promos. I haven't actually seen it yet, but my DVR is currently recording and I've heard it's quite AWESOME!

Also? There are pics out of the covers of the new Torchwood Novels coming out next year. They're much cooler than the last group. Especially the one with Ianto on the cover.

I am never going to make it through the next 5 weeks at this rate!

Hey! It doesn't always rain here, thankyouverymuch. That's just lore. Although, you are picking a traditionally more rainy part of the year to come visit... Last I heard on the 10 day is that another storm system is rolling in, so you will be seeing some rain next week.

Do you have places picked out to go? I'd be happy to lend a hand/give some advice if you like. (I'm a born and raised local and actually spent ~5 years living up in the U District in North Seattle, so I know the area decently well depending on what you're looking for. :-) )

Rain is a relative thing. *g* Coming from a place where rainstorms are a major news event, it's a bit of a different perspective. *g*

I'm staying on the East side in Bellevue since that's where my friends are, but no definite plans yet. I'll be on my own part of the time since my friend will be working, so any suggestions you have are more than welcome. :D

True, SoCal is not so much a place for the rain... ;-) We do get a bad rep for the rain though-- our summers are real nice, and we're not even in the top 10 rainiest cities in the US. (Olympia came in at 24th. http://www.livescience.com/environment/070518_rainy_cities.html)

I was born and raised (and still am at the moment) between Renton and Issaquah, which you will see on the map is actually not very far from Bellevue. :-) (Renton is next to Issaquah on one side, and Issaquah is next to Bellevue on one side, and Renton on the other side is next to Factoria which is next to Bellevue.)

Depends on what kinds of things you'd want to do/see. Museums, art, touristy things, randomness, specific types of food, etc. I don't know you well enough to automatically give you something, but if you point me in a general direction, I could give you some suggestions. I love showing people around, and used to give campus tours at UW and worked at Pike Place Market for a produce company. (So this is fun for me)

It matters too if you have access to a car or if you're dependant on public transportation too.

If you have some time Sat or Sunday, I'd be happy to chat with you more in depth on AIM or such if you like. (I'm busy the next 2 evenings)
