I can no longer view any LJ comms from work. They're blocked by our Web filter. This is fine, I can kill time at work actually doing work or something.

Thing is, I don't think that they actually changed our web filter. I think it's coming from LJ itself. All of the comms (even knitting) are now blocked for "Sex". They weren't this way yesterday. I can still get to people's personal LJs okay which is what makes me think that it's LJ and not my work's filter. A) If my work wanted to block the site completely they could easily do that and B) Why would they do just the comms under the "Sex" filter?

I'm just wondering if this is another way that LJ is trying to cover it's collective butt from the whiners.

I'm thinking they did one of their spectacular sweeping updates so that now they can say that the comms that have 'adult' stuff are filtered. It sounds like something lazy and overreactive that they'd do.

I mean with all of the bells and whistles (that don't work or are a pain in the ass) they add to everything, they can't just split it up and add an 'adult' option to the comms or LJs? I don't get why it's all or nothing with them.

Yes. I really think that LJ added a tag to the comms for "Sex" and Websense is picking it up.
