Sorry, I'll stop soon. I promise.

Anyone have any good fic recs? Slash, het, gen it's all good. For slash I'm particularly looking for Nine/Jack, but I'm not overly picky.

Jack crossovers are welcome as well.

Eeee! Welcome to the fold. Heh. ...oh, yeah, fic. Lesseee...

There is a big Doctor Who fic archive at A Teaspoon and an Open Mind. You may already have this link, but I'm not presuming. *g*

Two I loved:

Nostalgia's Notes on the Domestication of Birds. It's billed as Ten/Rose babyfic, but DO NOT let that put you off. It's a glorious AU, and a sharp look at the Doctor abandoning the fight.

Casira's Selfish Dreams. Another Ten/Rose story. Having and not-having.

Most of the other fic by these author's is excellent. Also check out authors NNWest and WMR.

Torchwood has been recced over a few months on [livejournal.com profile] crack_van, and my all-time favourite so far is Stuck in Traffic at the Magic Roundabout. It's a long (7,000 words)PG gen story by [livejournal.com profile] xwingace. The summary the author gives is: The importance of not running into oneself had been drummed into Jack Harkness from the first day in the academy.
http://xwingace.livejournal.com/58308.html

The other is a story I found on elfin's site when I discovered she had taken to writing Torchwood (I knew her for her Miami Vice slash). Her Torchwood page is here: http://www.sundive.co.uk/torchwood/
Most of her stuff is Jack/Ianto, with a few Jack/Doctor. Can't remember which Doctor! But the one I want to rec is Autumn. It is a PG13 slash story (Jack/Ianto pretty much offscreen) but the story itself is a killer. It's not a pretty story, and the beasties Jack runs into are very nicely described. They have the feel of the Small Worlds episode. Only nastier... it's here: http://www.sundive.co.uk/torchwood/autumn.htm

*can't believe I, a dyed-in-the-wool slasher am reccing two PG fics!!*
