Since I can't seem to find an LJ comm with an NCIS discussion thread, thought I'd start one of my own. What's the deal with the lack of NCIS discussion, anyway? Has *everyone* stopped watching?

I'm typing this as I'm watching the ep and definitely enjoying it. The overall continuity this season is good. Tony's undercover assignment, Gibbs and Ducky's...separation, McGee's book. All good.

I'm also a big fan of any eps with Fornell. He and Gibbs have such a great relationship. I like that 'Slacks' is back too and potentially working his way up to being Tony's Fornell.

*sigh* Palmer. He still bugs me a bit. I know he's supposed to help draw out the exposition for the audience, but he still asks the lamest questions. Though him and Lee sexin' at the drop of a...shoe is pretty damned funny.

Yay on the Ducky/Gibbs showdown and makeup.

I'm still convinced that Jeanne is part of the overall undercover thing for Tony, but that he's totally fallen for her. I'm seeing 'Little Joe' syndrome coming up. She's so toast before the end of the season.

BAHAHA!! Best. Line. Ever. "I need you to look at something before you leave." "You have that mustache in a box, don't you?"

And DUDE! Nice twist at the end! Wow. Creepy beyond belief.

Nope, I don't think everyone's stopped watching, if anything, more people are watching! But, like me, can't find a freaking forum that isn't strictly moderated, put on hold while our comments are weighed in the balance, and then allowed to show up hours after others have already posted. (Gee, do I sound bitter?)

So I surf LJ and try to find something someone somewhere to be able to chat about my beloved NCIS! And "smoking" is another word for Gibbs, IMO. ;-)

Two things cracked me up: The "Bundy" comment, I knew there was gonna be one as soon as "serial killer" came into the episode. MH played Bundy in a film and I just loved Fornell saying he was on the team going after him. Inside snark at its best!

Haven't watched this ep yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I agree with you about Tony and Benoit on the strength of what happened last week. Poor Tony. And poor Gibbs. Oh the angst fic and make up sex!

I always love the little references to other things they've done, like Jessica Alba in MW's case (Hiatus Pt2 I think). In Frame Up there was a reference to Ted Bundy and his teeth - I looked. MH does have very uneven bottom teeth. Don't think his top ones are all his own though. Show me a decent college or junior sportsman and I'll show you a guy with dentures ;o)

*hee* So not you. I'm pondering starting a comm where any, all discussion (good, bad, whatever) happens for the eps. If there's already a place for that on LJ, I have yet to find it.

But yeah, last night's episode was fabulous. Even with the distraction of the chick, it was fun to watch. For me, she's not as annoying as some Babes of the Week that show up on some shows.

I'm actually considering that. I just worry about there being 1,000,001 NCIS comms out there. Though, the truth is, if none of them are meeting a specific need...

Maybe I'll do a poll. LJ Polls know all. They're kinda like a Magic 8 ball.

Well...I've started thinking that maybe I might start my own NCIS Yahoo group. But not sure...I *do* know that I'd only put people on moderation in the very beginning to filter out spammers AND make the list private (so only members could read the messages posted) but I dunno...I never did one before and it can be a lot of work. I'm going to search and see if there are already some that I might like to play in.

I loved the Bundy moment too. It was such a great episode overall.

Sacks is definitely Tony's Fornell. I howled with laughter when Tony saw him sitting at his desk. So funny.

The director didn't bug. Go figure. Probably because of the lack of flashbacks.

Was McGee jealous or just curious about Marty?

Very creepy twist though I thought it was going to be the son following in daddy's footsteps. Oh but the wife looked uber creepy in that shot when Gibbs said it was her doing the killing.

What was meant by that last line about the toe in the husbands stomach? That confused me.

Earlier in the episode, Ducky finds a "foreign" body in the corpse's stomach. If you blinked, you missed it. ;-)

I'm really liking the director this season. She's softened a bit and doesn't seem like she's trying to prove herself as much. I like her and Tony working together too. It fits in well with the post-Hiatus happenings.

I think McGee maybe had a twinge of jealousy. Nothing serious, but kind of a 'that used to be me' thing.

I'm not sure if the hubby was in on it or she fed him the toe or what. Either way? Ewwwww...

They just showed the episode where Gibbs quits here in Sweden. Not sure I'm up to date with what you're seeing? I have no clue about which season it is. ;)

And no, I've just recently started watching. Am completely new in my love for NCIS. :D

Sounds like you caught the end of season 3. We're discussing an episode from season 4. I got hooked this past summer and saw episodes from seasons 2 and 3, bought season 1 (without watching it before, a definite first for me!) and then started watching season 4 in the US. Am TOTALLY hooked.

Can't wait til Gibbs finds out about Tony being undercover, and him not being on the 'need to know' list.

I'm glad Gibbs and Ducky made up, but I think Gibbs is getting off easy. *g*

Jeanne HAS to be part of the undercover mission, but I'm danged if I can figure out HOW.

Loved the twist at the end. Man, she totally WAS creepy! I'm still confused, though, as to why she killed her husband. I know, we don't always get all the information, there's only so much time in an ep, but I'm so very curious about that.
