I stayed home again today so I watched last night's ep of CSI:Miami since I was in a drug induced coma by the time it came on last night. Please note that I am still under the influence, so there is an extreme possibility of none of these thoughts being coherent.

I definitely enjoyed the episode more than the season premiere. It didn't seem quite as disjointed. Plus. Okay, confession time. I have a real thing for "Main Character In Peril" storylines. I realize that Calliegh was never in any real danger, but the scene with Horatio being all protective afterwards pushed a couple of buttons for me. ::feels a bit dirty now:: Two niggles with the initial scenes. One, I wish they wouldn't completely telegraph when something is going to happen to one of the CSIs. Calliegh working the room all by herself and then announcing that she was taking a back road were like neon signs. Two, "Calliegh's Fantabulous Wonder Makeup". It dissapears when she surfaces from under the water, but then reappears when she sits at the side of the road waiting for Horatio and the gang. I could see her doing a lipstick reapply (if it had survived the crash and submersion) I mean she is the total Southern Belle, but her eye makeup was totally redone too. I have this same issue when characters wake up in the morning on various shows as well.

I didn't get the point of having Stetler show up. The only thing I can think of was that they just wanted to remind folks that he's still hanging around. And that he and Horatio still can't stand each other.

So now we have the potential future love interest for Calliegh. I'd be willing to lay down money that he'll be showing up again. Plus the whole way that Horatio related to him as a surrogate for Ray adds another storyline possibility.

Natalia? Still not a fan of hers, but I am glad that not every episode is going to be about bashing her. I do find it interesting (though not totally out of character) that Erik is having an easier time dealing with her than Ryan. Ryan just seems more easily annoyed with situations and people. I can never quite figure out whether I like the character or not. It's not a case of inconsistency like with Lindsay on CSI:NY, I think it more comes down to the mood I'm in when I'm watching a particular ep with him. He's a bit on the whiny and very much on the kiss ass side, but not to the point of overbearing for me.

Anyway, next week is the 100th ep. We'll see if it lives up to anticipation.

Tonight? NCIS! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
