Look Ma! A post that has nothing to do with Star Trek or NCIS! (Though I'm sure there will be more of those later today. *g*)

So after I bought my Mac Book *pets Abby* I went back and forth on whether I was going to get the various Sims 2 games I'd had on my PC lappy. It wasn't really a money issue so much as a space issue and frustration with the fact that the games come out waaay later than the PC versions and knowing that since I'd played them all on the PC I'd want them all right away for the Mac. I did end up buying a Sims2 Life Stories game to hold me over until I made a decision.

So this morning I'd decided that I'd waited long enough and I was going to go get the base game from the Apple Store. As I'm perusing online before leaving I find out that Sims 3 for Mac is actually going to be released at the same time (or really closely to) the PC version (they're also releasing an iPhone version too!). In 3 weeks! Just in time for my birthday.

So now the question is do I stick with the Life Stories for another 3 weeks or so...or do I get Sims 2 and then get Sims 3 when it comes out??

Also, how the hell have I used up that much space on my laptop and external drive so quickly? Okay, I know the answer to that. *ahem* Sure, I could be patient and wait for Netflix to send me Enterprise DVDs, but patience isn't exactly my strong suit when it comes to fannish obsessions.

I've decided to be an adult, have a little patience and wait for Sims 3 to be delivered in about 3 weeks. I've pre-ordered. Blah blah responsibility, blah blah.

Now, on to other obsessions...

NCIS )

Star Trek 2009 )

And now, of to finish my BEYOND yummy sushi. OM NOM NOM!

[personal profile] liviapenn did a picspam casting a genderswapped ST 09. OMG! Her choices are SO PERFECT!

I was going to specifically call out a couple, but I have to say that there isn't one of the choices where I didn't go, OMG!YES!

We just had a 5.0 quake. Or at least that's what the website says. It was quick and there's no damage here, but it certainly freaked the dog out.

I'm a Southern California girl. I used to be pretty casual about quakes. As I've gotten older (and after living through the 94 quake here) I tend to get a bit more nervous.
