Gavin Newsom has dropped out of the Governor's race for California. That leaves Jerry Brown (who still hasn't officially put his name in yet) on the Democratic side.

What I really wanted was a race on the Democratic side between Newsom and Villarigosa. Now they're both gone. *pout*

We just had a 5.0 quake. Or at least that's what the website says. It was quick and there's no damage here, but it certainly freaked the dog out.

I'm a Southern California girl. I used to be pretty casual about quakes. As I've gotten older (and after living through the 94 quake here) I tend to get a bit more nervous.
