Excellent couple of days.

Fannishly speaking, I've been having an excellent couple of days. There's all of the Torchwood squee, I got my Chronological X-Men DVDs last night and Sci-fi (yes they still suck) is doing a Doctor Who marathon today and "The Empty Child" is on right now. *sigh*

On a related note. There are at least a couple of folks on the BBCAmerica community board who've said that they watched all of Doctor Who, but were "shocked" when Jack turned out to be omnisexual. ??? First 2 minutes he's on screen he's checking out Rose's ass and then complimenting Algy on his. How is the ambiguous? Don't even get me started on the whole "I have nothing against gay people but two men kissing is just over the top!" thing. Sure, Owen can show his naked bits and shag away with a woman, but heaven forbid that two men kiss. GAH!

Have I mentioned that I REALLY want it to be January??

Something that boggles and amuses me at the same time is a lot of fic searches I see from folks. The descriptions a lot of the time tend to be for these weird cracked out stories. I kind of think that the reason the person can't remember where they read the fic is because their brain is trying to protect them.
