The email spammers have finally discovered that sending me emails to "ENLARGE pinis" or for "Hott wett grrls" wasn't really going to get me to bite.

They have apparently gotten smarter. Today in my inbox? "Canadians ready for you".

Why the batshit, Fandom?

Bored again at work, so I've been visiting various comms and online boards. Productive, I know. Anyway, I was at IMDB looking at Ioann Grudduff's profile (but not because I'm totally mentally slashing Reed and Johnny after the Fantastic Four ad during "Heroes" last night...nope) and there is a thread by someone about how Ioann is a big ol' meanie for not wining and dining the woman who runs his UNOFFICIAL fan site.  

I don't get where this entitlement comes from with some fans.  Yes, we pay their salaries by supporting their projects.  That doesn't mean that we're their bestest buddies though.  They get to be real human beings when they're off the clock.  Why do so many people feel that they're 'owed' something by performers?
