So I actually had a good couple of days at work.  I'll probably go into the details in a later post, but suffice to say that they've helped put me in a good mood.

Other happy making things...

Kavan Smith is on Human Target tonight.  I'm definitely liking this show.  It's not one that I'll necessarily become fannish about, but it's good action/adventure fun.  Mark Valley is pretty easy on the eyes too.

I'm still working my way through the re-watches of X-Files and now SGA.  I miss these shows.

After mainlining the first two seasons of The Big Bang Theory over the weekend, I had an uncontrollable desire to dive deep into comics fandom again.  I just read the The Flash: Rebirth mini and am even more of a confirmed Geoff Johns fangirl now.  He won me over during a couple of panels last year at Comic Con and with Green Lantern and Blackest Night.  I never thought when I was growing up as a confirmed Marvel girl that I'd defect to DC later in life.  Now to hunt down all the Superboy return stuff and hit Golden Apple Comics this weekend.  Damn this is an expensive habit.

Oh, and I've started knitting a new hat!  Yay!

HAHA. Me too. I'm really enjoying DC now and I grew up with Marvel in high school.

Geoff Johns is AMAZING... I also recommend Jeph Loeb's Batman & Superman books.

I've read some of Jeph Loeb's stuff too and liked it. I dipped a toe into the Batfamily a couple of years ago and really want to again but there were so many titles involved I backed out. I'm thinking of giving it a shot again. :)

That's what's awesome about Jeph Loeb's Batman & Superman books, it's not really all Batman lore and stuff, it's just the 2 of them working together, and they're hilarious.

Trades are all out now, try even your local bookstore. I particularly liked Batman & Superman Public Enemies.

Hee. You discovered (i.e. were made to watch by a friend and fell in love!) Big Bang Theory this weekend, too, huh? OMG it's so funny. As with most people &hearts Sheldon. A LOT.

The whole thing is just great. I'd gotten sucked in when visiting friends and then I decided to just sit down and go through all the eps. :)

Human Target is totally my action adventure brain candy right now. I'm desperately hoping it will be renewed; its ratings are pretty good, as far as I can tell, but apparently it is on the bubble. *crosses fingers*

He won me over during a couple of panels last year at Comic Con and with Green Lantern and Blackest Night.

Speaking of which...do you know where I can *cough* acquire Green Lantern from the reboot forward? I'm nearly $300 over budget or I would just run to my comic shop and buy it.

It's total brain candy and I love that. All the characters are great in their own ways too.

I have the trades for GL (part of my reading for the weekend), but I might be able to find an *ahem* for you. I have most of Blackest Night that I'd be able to share as well. :)

*nods* And for a show whose stars are all men, the eps have some truly awesome women.

I will not turn down either of these things. *g* What issue title and numbers encompass the reboot? I could poke around for an *ahem* as well.

I'll zip Blackest Night and get it uploaded for you (probably after the doctor's visit).

The numbering starts over at 1. It's Green Lantern v4. I think it goes GL Rebirth 1 - 6 and then starts at GL 1 and goes through about 42 and then Blackest Night starts.

I also have *ahem* of the Flash Rebirth if you'd like that as well.

Thank you! Although, you know, no rush, since I need to find and read v4 1-42 first. *g* I have located Rebirth and something that might be 1-10, but I won't know until I can look at it if it's v4 or not.

Hmmmmmmm...which Flash did they reboot with?

Technically Barry Allen, but my understanding is that the new series will focus on all of the Flashes in some way.

One of the things I love about the reboot is you get little peeks at the friendship between Barry and Hal Jordan. I can't really slash them because I like Barry's wife too much *g*, but it's still a great friendship.

Depending on how long it takes to upload, I should be able to have both for you sometime tonight.

Barry Allen is the Flash I'm familiar with, but I've always been curious about Wally West. I run into him a fair bit in Bruce/Clark fanfic.

Oooh, that does sound fun. I love committed friendships, whether I slash the characters or not. I suspect I have a loyalty kink. *g*

Also, the files I found were the correct ones for v4 1-10. I'm getting 11-42 from the same place. \o/ (I accidentally downloaded 20-45 of Green Lantern Corps before realizing my mistake. *facepalm*)

There's a fair amount of Wally in the reboot too.

Can I just say that I'm excited about us having fannish stuff in common again. :)

And not that I'd pimp you more, but if you like Wally he's also in Titans. Or at least he was. I'm behind quite a bit on those. I do love him, Dick and Roy together. They give great snark.

Me too! More than one fannish thing, too, what with Dr. Who. It's been a long time...not since NCIS, right?

I've read GL:Rebirth and have just finished v4 #9 of the reboot. So far I'm quite enjoying it. :-D I'm even almost over LOLing every time they mention their great weakness being (or having been, anyway) "yellow!" *LOLs a bit* Almost, anyway. *g*

Hmmmm...I may need a GL icon...

And not that I'd pimp you more, but if you like Wally he's also in Titans.

*g* We shall see! I'll probably work my way through all of GL before I check out the Flash reboot, completist that I am.

Oh. You're actaully not that far behind me on the GL read then. I'd just recently gotten the Trades beyond the Reboot. I'm on about #11...I think. Sometimes it's hard to tell with the trades. I normally go front to back with these things, but I've been bouncing around a bit.

I *really* want a GL icon and I even want to change my layout. Not necessarily GL centric, but more comics centric for sure.

Hmm...I may need icons of Hal and Kyle.

NCIS and Numb3rs sort of overlapped, but I was never really that into the Numb3rs thing other than Rob, so yeah. It's been quite awhile. YAY!

*sigh* What I'd really love is to be able to actually leave the house and go to the comic book store. Or anywhere right now really. I've been cooped up for over a week (not counting the Doctor).

I read too fast. *wry* I just finished #17 and am still chugging along.

I *really* want a GL icon and I even want to change my layout. Not necessarily GL centric, but more comics centric for sure.

I keep my layout plain because I change fandoms too damned often. *wry* Green Lantern tempts me, though, if only because their uniforms and color scheme are so pretty.

NCIS and Numb3rs sort of overlapped, but I was never really that into the Numb3rs thing other than Rob, so yeah. It's been quite awhile. YAY!

I forgot about Numb3rs! Probably because it was more about Rob (or Don) than the show for both of us. *grins* I pretty much only wrote the centaurs for that fandom.

*sigh* What I'd really love is to be able to actually leave the house and go to the comic book store. Or anywhere right now really. I've been cooped up for over a week

:-( *hugs* One of the most frustrating things about being sick like that is how boring it is. Guilt free time off work and no way to enjoy it!

(not counting the Doctor).

I have to say, I saw this and thought about the Doctor Who doctor. And then I thought, "That doesn't make sense. She must meant the doctor for being sick doctor." And then I thought, "But it was capitalized!" And now I'm LOLing at myself for my confusion. *g*

Here's the Flash Reboot. I have to break down the BN one into a couple of different files.

Hope you're able to get the other GL. :) I'll keep looking too.

Helps if I include the link...

Flash Reboot successfully DL'd. :-D

I've got all of the Green Lantern reboot up to #42 now, except for 22-25. I'm having to find those individually, because I couldn't find a compliation that included them.
