Look Ma! No NCIS!

webbgirlSo I'm actually going to talk about fannish things which do not involve NCIS for a moment.
Merlin
Merlin is still very much the same quirky show I remember as it comes back. Though, is it my imagination or did Arthur get a WHOLE lot more buff while we were away? HUMINA!
Anyway, one of the things this episode reminded me of in a HUGE way is that I have an under-appreciation squick to a certain degree. I actually had to pause the episode in parts because I felt so freakin' bad for Merlin. He wants to devote his whole life to Arthur (and that's even before the slashy spin) and yet it seems he's easily cast aside. I feel like I need five-million comfort fics for him, or possibly a million "I'll show you how awesome I am" fics. It's one of the things that sets me off every once in awhile in that show that I'm not discussing in this post as well.
So, in spite of the squick and feeling bad that Merlin can't really show his bad-assness, I'm a happy camper that it's back.
Arthur - HOT
Uther - HOT
Merlin - Quirky and adorkable (and want to hug)
Morgana - Hot
Gwen - Hot
Yay Saturday afternoons again!
Stargate: Atlantis
So I'm back to working my way through Season 1 this weekend. I expect to move on to Season 2 after this.
Before finally forcing myself to head to bed last night (this morning really) I watched "Sanctuary". Can someone please explain the non-slashy reason for Rodney being *that* upset with John? It wasn't like a whole, "I wanted that chick and you got her" thing. It was more of a "You have an interest other than me and that needs to stop NOW" thing. The snark even flows into the next episode.
So, yeah. I'm loving the whole viewing experience and may be in need of fic recs soon.

That... sums it up so nicely LOL - I'm not sure Arthur's buffed up more - but we get more half naked Arthur this time it seems. So we get to notice AND ogle it XD

Seriously, everytime they include a female love interest, usually for John, it only shows how uncomfortable he is, and also how much closer he is to Rodney than anyone else.
Why, no *shifty eyes* McShep isn't my OTP, why do you ask?
