It was beyond AWESOME!
I'll do a full review with pics later, but I had to squee about the clip they showed for the final Ten ep.
OMG the Master and Donna and Lucy and Donna's grandfather and apparently Timothy Dalton!!!!!!!!!!!

on 2009-07-26 06:44 pm (UTC)I can't wait to see the clip, even though I knew all of the casting spoilers. I'm curious whether Donna will remember, or from her POV will be a "new player" in an adventure.
So much for saying a character can "never again" appear in a show, eh RTD? That's sort of one of the selling points of sci fi, IMO. How can you undo something that wasn't intended to be undone? Death isn't even necessarily an end.

on 2009-07-26 07:36 pm (UTC)Rose told Donna about how the Torchwood team and even Sarah Jane were killed in an AU verse where the Doctor died and didn't regenerate, so technically, Ianto's even died before this. Donna died to make things right in the past. Now she's left with no memory of her time with the Doctor and it supposedly would kill her if she did... yet she's coming back.
So yeah, he's being a dick. He's pissed everyone isn't fawning over his dramatic story. His dramatically depressing story that I probably wouldn't have cared for all that much even if Ianto had lived, because the plotholes were so massive. Ianto being dead just means I don't have something to distract me from massive sucking plotholes.
Not to mention we have yet another round of "Damaged Jack" after he was finally starting to move on after he got his answers from the Doctor.
