I have a theory about what may happen in a couple of the upcoming episodes based on spoilers that have been floating around. It's just a theory, but since it's based on the spoilers DO NOT CLICK IF YOU'RE AVOIDING THEM! TURN BACK NOW!

So during a run up to the season finale, we're evidently supposed to get quite a bit of TIVA (I think I threw up a little even typing the smooshing) stuff going on. The spoilers have been purposefully vague as to how far it goes, but there is a mention of a triangle with Tony, Ziva and Michael (the guy from Israel). It also says that there's a bunch of angst and that there will be tragedy involved.

Another spoiler indicates that there will be an undercover Mossad agent posing as an arms dealer.

So here's my theory...Michael and Ziva were involved in Israel. She may even be in love with him, but decided to move on since she's been in the U.S. Tony and Ziva get close and either have sex or come close to it. Michael shows up in the picture during the case. Tony ends up shooting him, either by accident or because something goes wrong. This then completely destroys the chances of Tony and Ziva moving on happily ever after as a couple. It also creates tension moving into the next season.

An off-shoot of my theory that is a little more in the 'wishful thinking' category on my part at the moment is that Tony decides to leave the team because of this.

TPTB for the show are completely with enamored with cliff-hangers and love creating that type of drama that carries from one season to the next. I think Tony leaving the team (only temporarily though) is something that they might consider playing with. It would fall in line with some of the threads we've seen happening since Season 4 really.
So? What do ya'll think?

This is my reaction *points to icon* because all the Tiva crap just makes me want to curl things at the TV. just HOW tptb think it's a good idea (or why) boggles the mind

What if Tony shoots *Ziva*, by accident? She's not where she's supposed to be, or there's a ricochet or something. Or, for us H/C Tony-fans, Ziva shoots Tony, again, by accident or to keep him from shooting Michael who, though he may not be an Ari, may not be working in the best interests of the US at that moment.

Whatever they do, I hope they manage to focus on the friends and teammates enough that the rest of us can ignore the stupid UST crap.

Overall, I don't think Deputy Director David would approve of Ziva hooking up long term with a man not of his choosing. I'm not sure Ziva would buck him on it, either. I have a feeling Micheal has been handpicked for the job. For all we know, they're already married. :-)

Friend said that she heard bits about MW doing a pilot. OH PLEASE NO is my reaction-- because I don't think I could watch it anymore if there was no Tony to foil to Gibbs. :-/

Yeah - Tony shooting Michael was what I thought would explain some of the "OMG the tragedy and angst" spoilers Brennan has been putting out. Esp if it followed Tony getting close to Ziva (ick) which wouldn't be remotely believable but TPTB clearly think they have chemistry even if it's invisible to some of the rest of us.

I wish Tony would leave the team but only if he's sure to come back again and only if it makes them realise how much they miss/appreciate him.

BUT - I can't see how Tony and Ziva could work together if he shot her boyfriend. I don't want some big, strained S7 where they have *angst* for an entire season. URGH!

Oh, let me throw in a twist! (I love what ifs *g*) What if Michael shoots Tony? What if the doctors don't know if Tony will be able to come back to the team after his injuries heal, if they do?

Hehe- well you know I agree with you about Tony leaving. I hope that it last a few epiosdes at least, and that McGee learns it's not so easy to be 'senior agent".

As for the Tony "shoots someone" kind of storylines I hope we don't get that. It is so a "been there, done that" kind of storyline. Plus it is a bit soap operay for me. I have faith that what we will get will be a bit more creative than that.

At least I hope so ;-)
