I know fandom isn't the most mentally or emotionally stable group at times. (Seriously people, you know that I'm right.) Recently though it's seemed to have gone to a whole new level of batshit.

There's one fandom with folks in angry denial about a temporary character that they've just met and who by all accounts won't be around for long. Then there's the other fandom list that has completely gone middle school with talk of cliques and hate mail and whining about pairings and people talking about the show instead of posting fics. WTF people???

Everyone needs to take about 10 deep breaths, step back and realize that this is a form of entertainment.

I'm amused with the DW fandom -- We're talking a double parter of which none of us have yet seen the 2nd one -- anything could happen there *sighs*

I don't know why they don't learn from the series itself. There's no reason for OTP when someone will live for centuries *grin*

I was kind of surprised (though I'm not sure why) at some of the reasons people have chosen to dislike the character.
