Evidently Six Apart sent burr86 and anildash to the same corporate communications school. Because everyone knows that provoking your customers during the middle of a shit-storm is one of the top 10 ways to calm things down.
And they always do this shit on weekends too. I guess we're only supposed to complain about their asshattery during business hours, and when they're off the clock, it's a great big fuck you to their paying customers. Maybe they think things will calm down by Monday? If so, I want their doctor's name and number, because I really want some of the meds they're on.
It's gone way beyond fandom too, with others just generally appalled at the "we're taking your money and banning you forever with no chance for appeal, don't let doorknob hit ya on the way out" attitude, especially since they have yet to make any sort of attempt to clarify the TOS they're supposedly enforcing.
From what I'm hearing of the drama, burr86's posts were deleted. Of course, not before lots of people saved them for posterity. Wonder what will happen come Monday?
