I was cruising through TV.com and came across...stuff.  No real spoilers but if you're EXTREMELY spoilerphobic...there's stuff about 3lbs and Heroes ahead and potentially in the comments.

What's the deal with networks not even waiting before they axe or "long term hiatus" shows anymore?  CBS Sheds 3lbs.

This one (about Heroes) makes me pissed and sad.  I can't say it really surprises me, but it would be nice to see someone at a network with some actual stones for a change.

And this one just makes me sad.  *sniff*  I need to watch Young Frankenstein this weekend or something.

I was so bummed to hear about 3 Lbs being canceled! I mean, the show started airing in the middle of the season when many people already had made their viewing choices, so you'd think they'd give it more than 3 eps to catch on. *snarl*

It's pathetic how little time they seem to give shows anymore. I look at a show like NCIS and think how it would never make it today. It took almost a full season for that to take off. I know that part of the reason they kept it was the name and relationship with DPB, but still...

It also baffles me how something like The Unit is still on. Yes, I love the pretty, but c'mon! The wives are way too annoying for me to be able to watch it on a regular basis.

I agree.

Shows like The X Files, even.

Meh, that Heroes story sucks. Though "serving the needs of the story" kind of implies that there still is story for the character, when the midseason finale left me thinking we'd seen the last of him.

I'll admit that I had Zach pegged as having an adorable puppy-crush on his childhood friend who'd gone and become popular on him, so the (blatant) hints in "Homecoming" that he might be gay caught me by surprise. It felt like a Big Reveal. And now there was nothing to reveal? I don't get it.

Maybe he gets killed off in a couple episodes and they didn't want to get slammed for killing the only gay character?

Or more likely, as you put it, the network needs to grow a pair.

"Puuuutnnnn hhhhhnnnn thhhh riiiiiiiiiitz!" (sigh)

(Oh, and hello again from the person who graduated high school with you and still has no idea who you are or whether he actually knew you or just knew of you.)

Unfortunately, I think it was the network's choice. I thought the 'reveal' in Homecoming was out of left field too. It just seems weird to me.

Still trying to figure out the Highlander thing too...The only clubs I did in school were Oceanography and French my senior year...I think. Wow that was a long time ago. My first name is Cindy (don't do last name online ever for sekrit identity reasons *g*) if that helps.

You left out the part where you're a tasteful, classy dresser, and have great skin and complexion. Duh.

Thanks, but high school was the time of Acid Wash and blue eyeshadow for me...so y'know.

Because I knew it would bother me otherwise, I went out to the garage, dug out my senior yearbook, and scanned the senior class photo pages. If you are who I now think you are (not a whole lot of Cindys in our year, were there?), then I can now say with utter certainty that I absolutely did not know you in high school. Oh well. We may have had the odd class together, but I do believe we were in different circles completely.

I don't know if you have your yearbooks at the ready, but to equal your disclosure, my first name is Jeremy and I was on the Cross Country team and in the choir. Make of that what you will. High school is not a time I remember with great fondness, sad to say.

I thought it was WIDE open that Zach was gay - Claire's witchy cocheerleader (the one who was killed by Sylar) basically came out and SAID he was gay, wanted to be the Queen of Homecoming, etc etc. Granted, kids can be mean no matter what - but I didn't any onscreen moment when that was withdrawn. To me, he's gay, and that's what the canon says.

When did it say otherwise, other than on this article?
