I realize that just about anyone on my flist who might be interested in this, probably already knows about it...but I'm pimping anyway.

Coming up in June is an online auction to raise money for Moonridge Zoo in Big Bear California. I would try to explain it myself...but I would fail miserably.

There are some great items up there already and more still coming in.

I'm very happy and bouncy to say that I'll be lucky enough to attend the event at Moonridge this year. *sigh* Michael Shanks and Garett Maggart...in person within two weeks of each other.

But it's really about the animals folks...

I belong to a ML that always organizes something for Moondrige, and some of the members attend the event each time, and I sooooooooooo want to join as well! Combining an important and good cause and a fangirl event together? Talk about a dream *g*

I'm all 'Squee' about going this year. I'll be in Burbank at the SG con over the weekend of the 10th and then at Moonridge on the 24th.

I haven't been to Big Bear for a couple of years, so I'm kind of excited about that as well. It's such a beautiful place.

My goal is to take halfway decent pics that I can share with folks when I get back.

I'm excited too because I get to do both with a group of fangirly friends. Watch for newsreports from the So Cal area in July...there may be strange stories of rabid fangirls out of control...You never know with us.

Ya know... this'll be my third summer in a row of such hijinks and mayhem (for example, I got to see Garett three out of the four weekends of June 2002) and it just seems to get better every year ;->. In good theater tradition, we've taken to calling it "Summer Stalk."

Oh, and if you want to toss in a little Bruce Young (Simon from The Sentinel), he'll be doing a performance of his play (Dungeon Master - it's a hoot) at Fan Odyssey in West LA in June.

June... let's see... I've got friends (and Bruce) to visit at FanOd (although not attending the con itself) 12 and 13, then the Converge (sword slash) con 25-27. And Amma comes to LA 22 and 23... she rocks... a "living Hindu saint" from India who travels all over the world hugging people. Oh, and then the anime expo in Anaheim is the weekend before the SG con. Eep!

I was whining to Coco on Saturday that I'm stuck going to a friends bridal shower in Laguna Niguel (or somewhere around there) on June 5th which is also my birthday. That's the only Saturday I have anything going on so far. (She couldn't have picked another weekend?)

Sylvia and Michelle are my listmoms *g* I'm so proud to see their names over there. They're so great! And they're pretty efficient too. It's thanks to them that I could join the meeting with GM a couple of years ago *g*

Yay. There are some great items on the list so far. I know of at least a couple more that people are finalizing right now.

This is going to be fun. I should be getting my income tax refund right before the auction...so hopefully I'll be able to bid high enough for something.

I haven't figured out which I want yet though.

They are so many things- it's impressive! There are even two baby Jim and Blair dolls! lol

And the stories... there's a fic by Natalie L dealing with white slavery with Blair as the slave and Jim as his owner that is definitely interesting me! *eg*

I'm looking at alyjude's writing the next part to 'Comedy of Errors'. I love that story. There are a few other authors on there I wouldn't mind getting a story from either.

The music vids and cds look nice too.
