webbgirl-Shirtless O'Lough is always a nice start to an ep.
- I want to like Lori, but each week it's like she's devolving more and more into the mooning schoolgirl with a crush on Steve. WTF??
- Did I mention the shirtless O'Lough? Cuz DAY-UM!!
- I have to wonder how much crap Scott gave Alex for the MMA stuff since it's more Scotty's thing.
- 'Heh'. My inner 12 year old came out when Danny put Steve's mouthguard in for him. Something about Danny being used to putting things in Steve's mouth.
- Is it wrong that I'm kind of enjoying seeing Steve getting his metaphorical ass kicked a bit?
- Okay, on the one hand KENSI!! YAY. On the other hand? Look, Steve's meeting Joe off separate from the rest of the team. What a shock.
- So wait. What happened to the whole Steve not trusting Joe thing?? Did we conveniently forget that this episode?
- I love Kensi, but really? There aren't any lip readers less than a couple thousand miles away? I do have a theory though that Joe is going to end up popping up on NCIS:LA. Either that or the "Jakarta thing" is going to come back and bite Kensi in the ass.
- I really LOVE that Steve knows Sam and that he owes him. This hits my cross-over kink so freaking hard.
- Was that it?? I wanted Kensi kicking ass and taking names damn it!
- I don't care what anyone says, Danny sans tie is HOT!!! The only time he should wear a tie again is if he's undercover in a tux with Steve.
- Okay, Danny knowing what time school gets out and running out to stop the kid before he could walk into the house where his dad was killed? This is what makes me love Danny Williams.
- So is Kono basically part-timing it these days?
- Hey look, only a quarter of the way through the episode until Kono gets a couple of lines.
- So Five-0 is willing to punch any suspect in sight. Shooting not so much this week.
- I'm going to assume that since we've caught the bad guys halfway through the episode that there's going to be a "shocking twist".
- I should mention that I am once again enjoying Danny's sartorial choices this episode. Humina on the shirts
- Scott Caan's ass is a thing of beauty.
- I really do feel like H50 has somehow come under the Shane Brennan influence this season. I swear we're going to find out he's some sort of evil puppetmaster behind the scenes.
- I love that Danny yelling at Steve sends me to my happy place. :)
- *sigh* Steve still gets giddy at the idea of dislocating someone's shoulder. Steve will always be Steve. Danny will always love him for it. :)
- Awww...Danny is worried about his boyfriend in the ring. That's so sweet.
- Okay, that locker room scene was pure Scotty ad lib.
- Whyyyyy....why must H50 make Terry O'Quinn play a character I loathe?
So it wasn't an entirely painful episode and the shirtless shots of Steve and Danny ass-shots put me in a very happy place. However...I hate the overarching story that they're doing and the fact that the writers seem to believe there are a finite number of lines for a female on the show. If Lori must get X number of lines, clearly Kono must stand around doing nothing.
I wanted to like Lori. I've really given her a chance. I was even stupid enough to believe that Peter Lenkov was telling the truth when he said she wasn't there as a love interest. The awkward conversations between her and Steve and the fact that she's apparently Steve with breasts just makes it all very icky.
Anyway, hoping that the incremental improvement over the past couple of episodes continues. Until then, I have Steve's chest and Danny's ass.
ETA: WTF was the point of flying Daniela Ruah all the way to Hawaii for one scene of screen time? What the hell is with them wasting the guest stars this season?
