While there were pieces of this episode that I did like (Tony mimicking Gibbs during the interrogation scene and the Tony/Tim moments) overall I think I might be done with the show. I'll stick it on DVR and watch when/if I get around to it.

There were so many things that just didn't make sense or were cheesetastic. Not that this hasn't happened in the past, but those combined with the TIVA is just too much.

It really did feel like an 'intro to NCIS' they way they were telling the story. Almost like SB is trying to use this as his clean break from the legacy of DPB for the show. He wants his mark to be the only one now.

The idea that Abby, McGee and Tony tracked the guy down through Caf-Pow is just ridiculous. Including the idea that anyone spending that amount of time in the Sahara would be drinking a caffienated drink enough to have it shipped in.

There's also the idea that the three guys would go in alone to avenge Ziva's death and wouldn't have Mossad with them.

Gibbs' miraculous ability to get from a hill that far away and shoot the guy at the door (laying aside the whole eyesight and age thing).

The cheesetastic ending. Remind me to never travel with these people if Gibbs didn't even change out of the clothes he was wearing under his ghillie suit before hoping a 10+ hour flight and walking into NCISheadquarters. Ewww with all of them.

Also? Tony comes back from the dead he gets 5 people who notice and has to reclaim all of his stollen stuff. Ziva comes back from the dead and gets a standing ovation. Ye-ah. I really can't understand why folks would call her the Princess at *all*.

Still think the plot of the first episode was meh, but my G/Sam love is still strong. Bromance doesn't even come close with these two. They are such an old married couple. The scene in the car when they're driving to the guy's apartment? They might as well start making out. I did love the movie reference out of G. :) I also have a soft spot for Dominic.

I think there's hope for the chemistry of this cast, but I am leery about liking it because it's SB's.

One thing that I do wonder about is if the convoluted NCIS mess is because Shane Brennan was stuck with the world that DPB had already set up. He has to work somewhat within the parameters of that world, but he wants to morph it into his own now. This is why we get these freakin' plot-lines outta left field.

I finally saw the preview for next week for NCIS:LA!!! I squeaked out loud and scared the dog!

I think there is Harry Potter crossover potential there with apparating....

I'm willing to go with Gibbs being able to teleport because I really did love him showing up. But I do agree that it seemed like NCIS 101 with all the descriptions. My thought was that they were setting the ep up as a primer for people giving it a try because of NCIS:LA.

Bromance doesn't even come close with these two.

Truer words!

I kind of liked NCIS LA. Linda Hunt was there! She's always fun to watch on screen. The guy that played Callen seemed a bit... I don't know... like he was phoning in his lines. I did love the story, loved how they worked together, don't understand how Callen comes in and takes over an op when he's been gone for 5 months?

I spent all of NCIS going "SHOW, don't tell. SHOW, dammit." Becc asked me about it and the best I could say was the hug between Abby and Ziva at the end was femslashtastic and sweet. I like to think the standing ovation was that the whole team made it back, not just Ziva Sue.

I really have come to loathe her, and this Tiva crap irks the hell out of me. I've watched every single ep of the show from day one, and I've yet to see the supposed chemistry between them. She tries to maintain a superiority complex while being incredibly juvenile at the same time, and I have to admit I cheered when Tony said she was dead. I knew it was a lie, but, God, I had hope for that split second.

For LA, I'm with you on G and Sam. From the first moment of Sam picking him up to the offer of staying with him, they were begging to be slashed. I'm leery of SB, but I'll take the fanservice. The promo for next week with the cheating line cinched it for me.

If you want, I'll do the same for you as I do for Becc, taking advantage of being in the EST and getting the show three hours earlier. I watch and then let her know if it's crap, mediocre, full of Abby or full of Gibbs/Tony/(sometimes Abby). Then you can watch accordingly.

Yeah, it was a pretty crappy premiere. I have to say though, even though I was gagging over all the Tiva, Michael Weatherly's acting is just breathtaking. When he tells Ziva he couldn't live without her, and not to ask him anything she doesn't want the answer to; terrible, terrible, terrible for Tony DiNozzo, but I was cheering Michael Weatherly.
