L&O:Mother Ship

I though I was pretty much over the Mother Ship flavor of Law and Order. I have to say that I am enjoying the new season though. I've always liked Jeremy Sisto and this role seems extremely well suited for him. I also really like new ADA guy and how he interacts with McCoy and not!Horatio Caine's dead wife.

Plus, who doesn't love some Jesse L. Martin? Though I just this minute saw a promo for his 'last' episode. WTF, Jesse? Now I've got to sit through yet another partner being broken in? Pfft.

ETA: Wait! Did we know before in canon that Logan and Olivet had hooked up after Max's death? Not that it wasn't hinted at, but...really? Plus, why would she tell Jack of all people?

I don't know if I can watch next season without Jesse. He held me together after Jerry Orbach left, and I've managed to weather the revolving cast of prosecutors. There are rumors about who's been cast to replace him, and I'm really not sure how I feel about the person. But Jeremy...I have such fondness for Jeremy. So I'll probably tune in a few times at least, just to check it out.

Same here...*sniff*. I figure I'll give the new guy a shot and see how the chemistry works. I really do adore Jeremy Sisto. And it has nothing to do with seeing him naked once in a play. *g*

I was dubious about this new cast this season but they've been pretty good, and I just adore the new ADA. I'm embarrassed to admit I've never quite gotten over Ben Stone, and this guy reminds me of him just a bit.

But I will really miss Jesse Martin. He totally rocks. I haven't heard any rumors yet about his replacement, who are they suggesting?

He does indeed remind me a bit of Ben, whom I still miss terribly.

I've read that they're in negotiations with Anthony Anderson, the guy who played the ex-con cop on K-ville, which I think might work nicely.

And there was nothing better than Ben Stone calling a defendant "sir", was there? I'm ashamed to admit that even after all these years, I never warmed up to McCoy, though I do like the actor.

There are eps where I like McCoy, but for the most part, though like you I love the actor, the character does not do much for me.

I really do like the new ADA. He and Jack actually butt heads similar to how Ben and Adam did waaaay back in the day. Though I am getting a bit more of a slashy vibe from these two. *cough*

I thought I was over L & O too! But apparently, not so much. I love the new ADA, especially his interaction with Jack. There have been some really in your face slashy scenes this year and I so wasn't expecting it.

Yup even liking no!Horatio Caine's dead wife this season, which is an eve bigger surrprise.

Frankly I'm looking forward to the new partner. I'm finding the chemistry between Martin and Sisto lacking and no I'm not talking about slash. *g* I guess I've lived through so many of these partner changes I need them on a frequent basis to make the show work for me. Plus it really helps me with the verisimilitude of the show.

It came up because Olivet was testifying for the defense in a case about how a therapist being in a relationship with his/her patient would be inappropriate. Apparently Jack knew that she had slept with Logan (they never mentioned his name directly, just a cop she was treating after he lost his partner) and told not!Ben about it so he could use it against her in court. She wasn't too thrilled with Jack afterwards to say the least.

Yup, that's one of the eps I missed while in LA.

So it's not canon that it's Logan? Because I thought CN said in an interview somewhere that they'd come close but hadn't done it. Of course that just might be his take on things.
