Catching up...
Nov. 5th, 2004 09:54 pmHad a great time last weekend with
aostara and
frahulettaes hanging out in San Diego. We were going to go to Vegas, but plans changed to local instead. We had fun hanging out and going to a few of the local stores etc... It was a great time for catching up since we haven't seen each other for awhile.
Monday wasn't quite so nice. I took one of my roommate's dogs out for a walk with me. I was planning on going and grabbing some coffee. The path goes across the river and past a construction site. Evidently Tito (a somewhat large Golden Retriever) doesn't like contstruction sites so much. He freaked out a bit and when I tried to get him past the site, he decided to make a run for the street. My instinct was to grab for the leash. Good for Tito...VERY BAD for me. The leash is one of those retractable ones with the thin rope and it went running across my hands. I ended up with severe rope burns on both hands. I had to put them under cold water for 20 minutes before I could go to the refrigerator long enough to get a glass and put ice in it and hold that for another six hours. OUCH!!! On the upside though, I now have very distinct handprints in case my body ever needs to be identified.
