I feel your pain. I've been doing the same thing slowly over the last couple of years with Marvel and it's kind of daunting how much there is.
On the other hand both guys are right. "Civil War" is assume. So is "Avenger: Disassembled" and "Illuminati". Oh and I'd add "Ultimate Avengers" for the AU factor alone. *bg*
Btw, avoid nebt_het cause she'll pimp you DC if she gets the chance. ;-) Personally I only pimp Green Arrow, but she does the whole Bat family and tha's almost as scary as trying to catch up on the X-men comics.
