I don't think it's an overstatement to say FUCKING AWESOME. Oh. My. God. Scared the pants off of me (even more than "The Empty Child") and was a phenomenally written and acted episode.
I will never look at a statue the same again. Or not look at a statue, I guess. Sure makes museums a hell of a lot scarrier.
I loved Sally. She was a kick ass character. Well, they all were. Including Hotty McHot police dude. Rowr. (Am not envisioning threesome with him the Doctor and Martha. Nope.)
As excited as I am about the character prospects for the next few episodes, I don't see how they will possibly top this one plot-wise. I can say that that was one of the best episodes of sci-fi television. Period. Steven Moffat is a GOD. I already loved and respected him for his earlier episodes, but this just kicked ass in so many other ways.
Whew! Once I'm feeling up to it, must go view again.
