I love this like burning.

Found this through malnpudl and I can't tell you how much I love the fact that it exists.

I've been reading and writing fan fic since I was twelve years old. One of the earliest rules of "respectable" fannishness that I learned is also one that's followed me ever since: don't write stories about yourself. That's a mary sue, you learn, or that's just self-insertion into the canon. No one wants to read that stuff. No one will respect you if that's what you write.

It's a rule that i've followed to this day...at least, in public. In my mind, I still imagine stories where I hang out with the characters from my favorite fandoms (rpf and fictional). some of them are sexy, some of them are innocent, but they've been my go-to daydreams and bedtime stories for years now, and I'm tired of pretending I'm too cool to have them.

So, consider this post a coming-out party for all those mary sue daydreams and idle self-insert fantasies you have but are too embarrassed to share.





I haven't added mine yet, but it's only a matter of time. Umm...yeah. :)
