Realized that I haven't updated in awhile. Not much to say. I've been busy with work and holiday type stuff. Less than three more weeks until I'm on my way to Vancouver for Christmas and New Years. YAY!
In fannish news, I've found a new slashy TV love. I didn't expect to love it, but I do. Steve/Danno on the new Hawaii Five-0.
It's one of those shows where I went in knowing that it wasn't going to be some deep, OMGBRILLIANT show. I figured I'd give it a try for the buddy cop factor though. IT WORKS! I love all of the characters much more than I expected (though I knew I'd be able to stare at Daniel Dae Kim for hours on end) and it's a fun little show.
I'm actually surprised though at how much I love the Steve/Danno pairing. It's one of the most blatant Ho-Yay pairings I've seen in awhile. In the episode I'm watching now, Danny just called Steve "Babe" in casual conversation. It was just there! I get the distinct impression that the actors knew about the slashy potential from the start and are rolling with it.
It's popcorn viewing, but the good popcorn that's popped just right and has some kick to the toppings.
