Fun in Vancouver
Dec. 29th, 2009 11:23 pmSpent today at Whistler with
crimsonquills and
tartary_lamb. In spite of almost freezing several parts of my anatomy off (mostly my fingers while trying to take pictures) it was an AWESOME day.
We took a bus up and then got a pass to go up to the top and take the Peak to Peak gondola. The gondola ride up the mountain was cramped to put it mildly. The Peak to Peak one was great. Much more room and we were able to enjoy the view.
There was no way we could do a round trip back to take a gondola down so we took the chair lifts. I thought I was going to completely freeze, but it was actually beyond cool. The scenery was just amazing.
We then made our way down to the town and sat and had drinks, ate and warmed up while waiting for the bus back.
It was a great day. I'm feeling a bit like I might have a cold or be sick, but I think that may just be from me needing to re-hydrate after the altitude. I've had issues with that in the past.
Here are a few pics of the day.
