So roommate and I have finally entered the 21st century and gotten a DVR. Like I didn't have enough crack supplied to me through Netflix and you people. Maybe I'll give Project Runway a try now though. My friend Beth is completely obsessed with it. Some of you seem to be as well.
The thing with the DVR was that it was yet another example of the roommate's complete overestamation of my technical skillz when it comes to hardware stuff. She's always asking me to 'take a look' at her 5,000 year old computer to figure out why it's running slow. Though, I have to say that she has a low threshold for being impressed since it's usually a case of telling her that she might want to actually shut it down and restart every once in awhile. *sigh* I so feel like the Help Desk at work with that one. Anyway, after a bit of cursing at Comcast for giving us every manual except the one which shows the wiring diagram, as well as the incorrect cables I got it set up. Maybe I do have some mad skillz. Nah. If I did, it wouldn't have taken me 15 minutes to figure out that the picture wasn't showing because I hadn't set the TV to the right video selector. Oh well.
More viewing of CSI:Miami last night. Horatio was still reassuring and hot. Speed was still hot and grossly underused.
Lauren Holly was in one of the episodes I watched last night and I have to say that between that character and Director Sheppard on NCIS, she's not winning any fan points from me at the moment. She was vaguely skanky and pretty much a bitch. It'd be nice to see her play a character who is smart and doesn't think she has to use her cooter to get men to do what she wants. Just sayin'.
*sigh* Back to work on the project which is going away but we must still pretend like we're working on.
As always, any gifts of Danny!Fic, Horatio!Fic or NCIS!Fic are MORE than welcome.
