I could potentially raise the bid and trim back on any other purchases as well as doing cheap food etc... while there. I've decided though that I'm not going to though.
As disappointing as it is, probably the wisest choice. The con will be more fun as a whole if you aren't pinching pennies, I think. Still, *hugs*.

So true! I'm going to keep an eye on it just to see how high it goes. If it's this high more than a day before auction closing, the last minute bidding is going to be impressive. And if it goes way out of your price range, I suspect not winning will feel more inevitable, which is oddly comforting.
