Finally went to the movies today. It was a nice get away from all the smoke and ash. It's seriously nasty outside right now. The one very small upside is that because of the haze the ash and smoke are causing, it's not as warm as it would have been. Can't wait to get out of the height of fire season.

On to the movie:

I may have squeaked quite loudly when the Star Trek preview came on. How am I supposed to wait until May??? It looks pretty damn cool.

As for the movie itself, it was a typical action movie. It reminded me more of the Bourne movies than a lot of the other Bond films though. There was one sequence that really reminded me of a scene straight out of Bourne Ultimatum. Don't get me wrong, it was still fun, but definitely not high art.

In related news, it should really be illegal for Daniel Craig to look that damn hot. Holy MOLEY! Dark polo shirt, black jacket and white pants? YES PLEASE!!! Add the tuxedo scenes, shirtless scenes and Brit accent? I may need to go ice down for awhile.

The L.A. Times has an article about the 'unexpected and unexplainable' success of NCIS. Somehow they fail to mention Michael Weatherly's ass or Abby's pigtails anywhere in the article. Hmph.

If your life was a movie, what would the soundtrack be? So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, etc).
2. Put it on shuffle.
3. Press Play.
4. For every question, type the song that's playing.
5. When you go to a new question, press the Next button.
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool.
7. Don't skip songs.

(1) Opening credits: Looks Like We Made It, Barry Manilow (Wait. Shouldn't that be the closing one?)
(2) Waking up: I'm Free, The Who
(3) First day at school: Belle, Beauty and the Beast
(4) Fight song: We Had A Good Thing, John Barrowman
(5) Breaking up: Sweet Caroline, Neil Diamond (bom, bom bom)
(6) Happiness: Annie's Song, John Denver (I swear it's not all FM Lite)
(7) Life's okay: I Don't Wanna Be, Gavin DeGraw
(8) Mental breakdown: In Your Eyes, Peter Gabriel
(9) Driving: Runaway, Pink
(10) Flashback: Don't Leave Me This Way, Thema Houston (waaaaay flashback)
(11) Getting back together: The Sad Cafe, Eagles (Okay, my relationship ones are all fucked up.)
(12) Wedding: Magic Bus, The Who
(13) Birth of a child: Empty Chairs at Empty Tables, Les Mis (Okay, that's just depressing.)
(14) Final battle: Sexy Ladies, Justin Timberlake
(15) Death scene: Something Bad, Wicked
(16) Funeral song: Sympathy For The Devil, Rolling Stones (ahahahaha!!!!)
(17) End credits: Pleasure Principle, Janet Jackson

Okay. My life is just WEIRD!
