I love my Thursdays. I get to work from home. Granted some are more productive than others, but I feel like I can get home stuff and work stuff done in tandem.

Plus it's gorgeous out and I can walk over to the Farmer's Market for coffee and maybe a crepe. I'm actually tempted to talke my laptop with me and use the wireless there to work for a bit.

This afternoon there are plans for OotP. Hopefully, I can get enough work and laundry done to go without feeling guilty.

Oh, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to [livejournal.com profile] crimsonquills! May you have naked centaurs and Mike Logans roaming through your life today.

*sigh*

Have you ever been reading a perfectly decent fic and enjoying it only to have it take a total left turn at the end plotwise?

I was reading a slash fic in a fandom which will remain nameless. It was a decent fic (not spectacular, but in this fandom I take what I can get) no purple prose, the characters were well developed (and I actually recognized them as the characters I see on the show) and the plot was really clever. I was very 'yay'....until I got to the last section. The plot sort of collapsed on itself and took the characters with it. Part of me wonders if the writer just got tired by the end and went for the most cliche thing she could find.

Not sure what kind of feedback to leave for it. "It was great until...?" Oh well, guess I should be grateful for any decent fic at all.
