I know fandom isn't the most mentally or emotionally stable group at times. (Seriously people, you know that I'm right.) Recently though it's seemed to have gone to a whole new level of batshit.

There's one fandom with folks in angry denial about a temporary character that they've just met and who by all accounts won't be around for long. Then there's the other fandom list that has completely gone middle school with talk of cliques and hate mail and whining about pairings and people talking about the show instead of posting fics. WTF people???

Everyone needs to take about 10 deep breaths, step back and realize that this is a form of entertainment.

I'm amused with the DW fandom -- We're talking a double parter of which none of us have yet seen the 2nd one -- anything could happen there *sighs*

If it's DW I'm guessing it's probably Alex Kingston's character and I'm thinking it might be a future him (given that he doesn't give his screwdriver away). But at the end of the day I really don't care that much LOL

Speaking of, do you know what's going on with NCIS the show? (I am completely out of the loop, and I promise not to bring wank.) I mean... that whole Disbanding of the Team thing is going to be fixed, right? (I assume it is, but I am also afeared. And very very much out of the loop.)

But yes, I feel you on fandom's level of batshit, in general. Lately I've been having days where my flist annoys me so much I kinda want to do a massive cut to it.

I haven't heard anything yet on what may or may not happen next season. I've been slightly out of the loop as well.

I'm hoping one of two things happens:

1) That the team all ends up back together as they were meant to be.
2) That Tony finally gets his own team like he deserves and that they follow both of the teams for the show.

The crackhead list has always had a special brand of crazy, but yeah I think the hiatus tends to heighten it a bit.

There have been about 4 or 5 days of posts on the list about cliques and people leaving and what should or shouldn't be posted, blah, blah, blah.

The part that really got me was the person complaining about the round robin going on because it's not all Tony/Gibbs and they might have to read other 'squicky' pairings like Tim/Tony. *cough*

Did I ever tell you about the time I was on the SG-1 mailing list that was so anti ANYTHING not Jack/Daniel that if anyone even mentioned Jonas in passing they'd pretty much be splattered with rotten tomatoes? LOL OK have read comments and know you are talking about 1, DW and 2, NCIS Starting with NCIS I am still waiting for new series,the last I saw was Tony getting in a car with "the frog"

As for DW I like Alex Kingston and am just intrigued with who she is, it would be great if she was Romana (but wouldn't he have known?) who is this "peron from the future" mentioned (or is that another way of saying Alex's character? Anyway I can't wait to find out.

The only thing I will say is that I damn near slept with the light on last Saturday night and am having second thoughts about setting foot in libraries (which for a bookworm is a serious deal! ;)

i have no clue which ones you are referring to (i might know what the first one is actually) but it sounds like a blast. i just love to sit back and laugh at.

ps. i havent watched silence in the library yet so...yeah im trying to avoid all talk of it and dont even really know whats going on. but i can only imagine. hahah
