*shakes fist at Disney*

I'm finally watching "Up". A kids movie should not make be sob multiple times.

UP was bloody brilliant, and the opening segment made me a bit weepy, too. Own your sadness, nay, wallow in it. Makes it better when it all goes away at the end.

Up made me cry too. I am not ashamed.

I would have liked it a helluva lot better if there'd been, you know, *women* included in the adventure that weren't in the form of a house? Of course I enjoyed the characterization, and I adored Dug (he looks just like our dog Goldy) and the personalities of the curmudgeon--that actor is always a joy to listen to--but...it's not just a boy's life of adventure, you know?

And yes, I cried my eyes out after the beginning. And several times thereafter.
