WHEEEEEEEE
I'm finally in Bristol and in a hotel room and online. Not without a few issues, but I'm here.
I'd apparently forgotten to notify my bank that I'd be out of the country for a couple of weeks. They put a complete hold on my account and I couldn't use my regular card for when I checked in at the London Hotel, then I couldn't use any card when I got to Bristol. I was sure that I was going to be sleeping at the train station. Luckily I got in touch with my bank (thank GOD for a cell phone that works in Europe) and cleared everything up. Now I just have to deal with the indignity of using IE for my internet connection (and why doesn't the Semagic spell check recognize the word internet? That's just damn funny.). Apparently Firefox and the internet at this hotel are not friendly.
Anyhoo...I'm here and settled and YAY!

Glad you're here and safe.
We're still on for Thursday. Are you up for coffee or lunch on Wednesday? The girls are in holiday club then as well because one of them has a mate who's only going Wed and Thurs.
Let me know one way or the other :o)

Bath is really nice. I hope the weather stays good for you. The X39 picks up opposite your hotel I think and it goes straight into Bath. You'll either stop at, or go past, the stop in Saltford next to a parade of shops and opposite the Crown pub.
Or you'll go by train, which is also good! The train station in Bath (rather than Bath Spa) is near the centre of town. There's lots of history and you'll love the Roman Baths.
Just let me know a time. I'm off work all week and no bairns that day until four o'clock. It's entirely up to you.

I'd invite you along to Bath, but I'm not sure how late I'll be getting back. I have decided to take the train in though. Much faster than the bus.
Wednesday sounds like fun. We can make as much of a day of it as you'd like. If there's a coffee place or area that you think would be good, we can meet there.

Yeah, the weather sucks today :o( And tomorrow I'm taking the girls to get some books and possibly to Avon Valley Country Park if it isn't peeing down again.
As for meeting, we could meet outside your hotel (if you're in the one I think you might be) directly opposite Temple Meads. Then it's a short walk up Redcliffe Way, down Redcliffe Street and across the bridge to St Nicholas Market.
Or we could meet in Starbucks on the bridge and then go on up to St Nicks. It's just that if I'm coming into town I'll take the park and ride which drops off at Temple Meads.
There's the Galleries Mall as well. You can get into the shopping centre of town that way, if you haven't discovered that already :o)
What say we meet at about 11, give me a chance to sort the dogs and girls out and have a wee lie in at the same time? The where is your choice. I hope the weather clears up a bit!

Looks like the water works have at least subsided for a bit. I'm off to Bath to enjoy and wander.
