LOL. It really is. I don't do WIPs, and Xanthe is one of the very few that I'll read in parts being posted, especially because she's so good at keeping it on a schedule.
She's my distraction and comfort author. Which the comfort is kind of weird to say given how dark and angsty some of her stuff is, but it works for me.
Yeah. If she was doing just one part a night I think I'd go nuts for this one. The three is just enough so that I can at least get a couple of hours sleep before work. *g*
I would have scheduled a weekend evening (maybe when the kid's at her dad's or on one of her numerous sleepovers) and just dived right in. It would have been glorious. :-)

Yeah, it bites. I try to write it myself, but I've not pulled together a very large piece that I've made it to posting condition yet. The characters themselves are very strong, much less trying to incorporate them into a believable threesome is really hard work.
Maybe I'll try the xanthe story out tomorrow, but I don't have time to wait up tonight... :-/
I hope that's all it is. This is the downside to having friends all over the world. Something can happen and you'll never know. Even if it's just that sudden rush to the emergency room for a severe asthma attack (no, I don't know if she's got asthma ;-) or a short term power outage due to bad weather... or oversleeping one morning.
I'm keeping good thoughts that's all it is. I'd love to head off to bed and wait, but my insomnia decided to kick in tonight and I'm wide awake for the moment.
Joy. I dozed off for a bit during Flashforward and Supernatural (not a comment on the shows, either), which has me more awake than I'd like right now. I'm about ready to head off and give sleep a chance. :-) Or not. Maybe I'll play Zuma for a few minutes, first. :-)

And yeah, usually it is real dark stuff, but always extremely well written.
Sadly my comfort pairing is VERY tiny in an already small fandom. (Eureka) Not to mention only 1 person really does it right anyway. :-/
