Thursday Thursday...what a day. (aka The stream of consciousness post)

If you are expecting any sort of cohesive or coherent content, please move along down your flist.  You won't be finding it here.

It's actually heavily drizzling outside right now.  I'm quite enjoying it.  Being a native Southern Californian, I'm usually all about the sun.  This year though, I'm over the 100+ temps and am ready for some Fall (and I use that term with all the irony that Fall in L.A. implies) weather.

I forgot my check card at home today and had to scrounge for nickels so that I could get a sandwich and chips out of the machine downstairs.  The sandwich is actually quite good though.  I'm just happy that I'm such a change collector.  Which reminds me, I should really take the jar at home into a Coin Star.  There's got to be a good 50 bucks in there that can go into savings, or a pair of shoes.

In spite of the setback, I'm having a lovely morning.  I'm listening to a couple of Tim Gunn's podcasts.  His voice is so soothing and calming, it's really impossible to be in a bad mood while listening to him.  Plus he so eloquently verbalizes my feelings regarding Vincent.  Must also remember to download remaining podcasts at home tonight.

I was sad (even if not surprised) to see Kayne go last night.  His design sensibilities were meant for folks other than the P-Run judges.  I was happy to see Dude!Lady win though.  Especially since she'd had such a let down after the prior challenge.  Besides, anyone who is NOT Jeffrey winning is just gravy.

The look on everyone's faces when Vincent and Angela showed up was priceless.  I did a mental compare/contrast of how folks would have reacted if Alison and/or Robert had been the ones brough back and, yeah V and A were gettin' no love.  Nice to know that Vincent kept his whackadoodle sensabilities while he was gone for that week though.  The fact that he had a TON of extra fabric but never considered using it to help the dress fit right shows something about his mental state I think.

What the hell was with Angela's collar?  I think if at least the dress had fit the model a little more flatteringly it wouldn't have been such a...no it was a trainwreck.

Michael, beyond FABULOUS as always.  I loved the dress and agreed with the judges about how his outfits always bring the full package.  He gets both the detail and big picture of an outfit.  And he really thinks it through.  "Hip Hop and Dude!Lady to the end!!!!!"

As much as I've been on board with most of Uli's previous designs, I think I'm starting to agree with the judges that all of her dresses pretty much look the same.  Not that they aren't gorgeous, but does she get that not everyone hangs out in South Beach?

I'm soooo glad the judges called Jeffrey on how his designs are all 'Rock Star' clothes.  If Jeffrey wants to stay designing jackets and outfits for rockers in L.A., he never should have done P-Run.  Though I suspect that a lot of his reasoning had to do with ego and showing everyone else the greatness that is him.

So, down to 4 next week.  He's hoping Jeffrey's the next one auf'd.

I realized that I hadn't posted about this week's Standoff aka Ron Livingston's Eyebrows Save the Day.  No spoilers.  But I liked it better than last week, though I'm still pretty meh about it.  In reality, if it weren't for the RLE, I wouldn't be compelled to watch it.  Sad.
